The Lewis and Clark Mystery Letterbox series
By: Amanda from Seattle
Planted February 2002
2004 will mark the Bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark expedition. They
traveled from St. Louis, MO to Astoria, OR and back again. I have placed one
Mystery Letterbox along the Lewis and Clark Trail and I hope to plant many
more before 2004.
To find the letterbox, you must go to where Lewis and Clark were during the
month of December, 1805.
They wrote these words about the location:
December 11th - "rained all the last night".
December 12th - " rain at intervals all last night and today - fleas were so
troublesome".
December 13th - "rain continued"
December 14th - "again it rained all day".
December 18th - "snow and rain until noon with high winds".
To find the letterbox follow these clues

I have a pretty good idea I know where this is. Whether we get there
before anyone else beats us to it, though is another thing! Not sure I
can get over that way for a while. What an excellent idea, Amanda! I
look forward to finding this letterbox and others in the same mystery
series.
